BioIn case you're wondering where my LiveJournal username came from, here is the story.
In seventh grade, for our history class we went on a field trip to the Hiller Aviation Museum. We weren't sure what this had to do with our history class, which was European History, but field trips are fun regardless. During middle school, my two good friends were Arianne and Yoonjin, so we were hanging out together on the field trip. For some reason, that day Yoonjin had decided she wanted to be called Purple Cow. In the theme of strange nicknames, Arianne decided she wanted to be called Agnetha (which is actually pronounced more like anyetta), the name of one of the members of ABBA, which was Arianne's favorite band. They decided I needed a nickname too, but I didn't like the name Frida (the other girl in ABBA), so they decided on Benny, who is another member of ABBA (the other guy is named Bjorn, and in retrospect that probably would've been a cooler nickname, but no matter). Yoonjin said that I should make it my AIM screen name (she had AOL so she already had a screen name, but I hadn't started doing any instant-messaging yet) and should spell it with an i at the end instead of a y. So the name "benni", with various numbers following it because usually just plain benni is already taken, has become my username for various internet-related things.
The number 39 is from the title of the first album by Green Day, which used to be my favorite band.
